8 Aug 2017

The 12th edition of Asiamold – Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition, is scheduled to take place from 4 – 6 March 2018 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. The fair will be held concurrently with SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF) again to help industry players unlock greater business opportunities and stimulate greater collaboration. SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF). The strategic date change aims to help industry players unlock greater business opportunities brought forth by synergistic collaboration with the industrial automation fair.

Commenting on the upcoming fair in 2018, Mr Louis Leung, Deputy General Manager from Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, said: “The moulding industry is slowly gaining momentum after a slump in the market in 2015. As a renowned mould and die exhibition in South China, we have been striving to stay at the forefront of industry developments and market demands to present the latest manufacturing technologies and offer insights into the latest market information in Asia.

Moving the show date to March earlier this year and hosting Asiamold concurrently with SIAF for the very first time turned out to be a tremendous success. The fairs were attended by 795 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions from around the world who occupied 60,000 sqm of exhibition space. The range of cutting-edge products and solutions attracted 64,077 visitors from 40 countries and regions. We hope to carry this successful track record onto 2018 and to continue providing an inclusive platform for all sectors of the intelligent manufacturing industry in the region.”

Within the first few months of the fair being open to exhibitors for reservation booking, over 60% of the moulding exhibitors from the previous edition had already confirmed their participation. Suppliers who will present a unique selection of solutions and innovative products include Anry Hot Runner System, Dongguan Gunri Precision Mold, Dongguan Hengjintai Molds, Hostar Hotrunner Technic, Shenzhen Datong Precision, Shenzhen Yalu Industry, Shenzhen Yangfan Precision Mould as well as many others.

For the past couple of years, the fair’s thematic zones have become the key component to its success, helping top manufacturing industry professionals with their sourcing needs. This year, the Laser and Welding Technology Zone will be one of the fair’s highlights. As these technologies and applications are vital for the manufacturing industry, this newly added zone will help create an even more comprehensive platform to promote cross-sector communications. Confirmed exhibitors for this zone include CAS Laser, Dongguan Fly Laser, Dongguan Zhengxin Laser, Guangzhou new CK Laser, Ncoo (Tianjin) Machinery and Shenzhen HeroLaser Equipment. Additional thematic zones scheduled for the 2018 edition also include 3D Printing Asia, Asiametal as well as Foundry and Die-casting Zones.

Asiamold is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and forms a part of a series of international events including formnext and Intermold Japan. The next edition of formnext will be held from 14 – 17 November 2017 at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds in Germany. Intermold Japan will take place from 18 – 21 April 2018 in Osaka and 13 – 16 June 2018 in Nagoya.
